 I have noticed that the brick on my home have small cracks in the face of the brick. They are vertical cracks and they don"t look very deep. Should I be concerned about them getting worse?

No, the cracks that you have described are simply breaks in the skin of the clay. Cracks such as these occasionally occur. These cracks are usually more common and noticeable if you have a smooth brick face either exposed or under the coating of your brick. The cracks cannot and will not get worse. These small cracks do not allow for water penetration because they are shallow and will not affect the performance of your brick in any way.
